Hi all.
How would one go about the isolation of an ADSL data line? I read several days ago that the use of an isolation transformer in the data line is the only way to disconnect the data line from the rest of the electric system in a home or business.

Another form of isolation is to convert it to fiber optic.

Cool.... I have no knowledge in this area, though we are going learning again.... lol
Darn, I just reinstalled the entire wired net work, down to the cable. They seem cost effective.
Now I have a darn question, the copper telcom wire out here is really old. When the repair guy was out to fix the blowed up wire connection from the lighting stroke, well we got to talking, come to find out that I am being supplied with something like 8.7 speakeasy.com has me rated @ 5.2 on download, now I really have to wonder here if I trash the copper and just run fiber how much speed bump I might get? If any thing at all... due of course to the copper loss?
