Hi all,
Looking for some help/guidance off of anyone who can help me with this topic, as I am attempting some coursework and I'm stuck!
I have a question relating to a practical exercise in measuring the open-circuit characteristics of a d.c. shunt-wound generator. I would be greatful if someone could tell me a formula to calculate the value of field resistance, I know the speed of the generator (constant of 54rad/sec) and I need to work out the value of field resistance so that the machine builds up to an emf of 150V at 54rad/sec!!
Would be very greatful if someone could get back to me ASAP!!
Regards, Lee
