Hello. can someone please help me decribe Cathode ray oscilloscope also known as the cathode ray tube (CRT) Thanks in advance for your help.
Welcome to AAC! CRT is a component. Specifically it is the display used in old TVs and Oscopes. An Oscope, like TVs, can use a CRT or other. Generally CRTs are cheaper, and require much fewer parts to get working. I moved your post to an area where it might get a bit more help.
Beginners to electronics might not know what is a CRT used in older electronic equipment. We are well acquainted with the Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) used on mobile phones and computer screens. The LCD is a relatively modern invention. Remember those big clumsy computer monitors? Those are based on CRT technology that generates a stream of electrons that hit a phosphor on the glass screen of the CRT to produce visible light.
