Is it possible to count to 12 or 15 using 4017, I know how to count to Less than 10, Count to 10 and count to 100. But is there any way to count to 12 or 15 like that?

 

You would need to cascade two 4017 counters.

It may not have to be that complicated. To the OP, do you want a sequencer, 15 outputs with only one on, or are you wanting a counter, with a one's place and a 10's place?

I've had other posts (on the 4017) where the assumption bit me.

 

I am trying to Make a clock using only 4017 ICs. So I want to start to count from second, Mins then hour. I want Just 12 OPs for this.

 

OPs? It sounds like you want a sequencer like Wookie described. You can use diode AND gates, this has been verified.

Are you going to make a 60 step sequencer for minutes and seconds?

 

No, I am not going to Use 60 step sequencer, I want to reduce it around 10 for Sec, Minute and hour also, May be for Seconds I may use different Step like 10 or less.
