I was wondering if anyone can help me with a project. I have a fan that was designed for a huge telecommunication system that was never used. It has an input of 56 vdc and I would like to run it in my workshop off 110 vac.

I was hoping to find it in a power cord with an ac/dc power adapter box. If I am restricted to building where can I find the parts? Im in so cal.. thanks to anyone that helps..

If you can find a transformer with a 40 volt secondary that will supply the current the fan needs, we can telly you what parts to get for rectifying the output to DC.

That current figure is very important.

thats also gonna be an expensive transformer... the fan probably needs several amps... probably better off just buying a new fan is my guess
