I was wondering if there is any way of converting a Positive voltage of 10v to a negative 10v?

 

Yes, there are ways to do that; inductively and using a capacitor charge pump.

The capacitor charge pump method is pretty limited as to the amount of current, and you can't quite get to -10v easily.

You can get quite a bit more current using an inductor.

How much current did you need?

 

I've done it using a 555 feeding a voltage doubler. As Wookie suggests, your current specification is critical.
