I am using PIC microcontroller in weighing system project.But is not displaying anything in the 7 segment display.Even no change in any of the PIC output pins.I found that when I am touching the crystal pin with soldering iron,7 segment displaying.!!I checked the circuit connection.I want to know the problem is on PIC or the CRYSTAL..

My guess would be that PIC and crystal are both OK, and that the problem will be with wiring or code.
Are the tracks from PIC to crystal short?
Are you using the correct capacitors for your crystal?
If your PIC has a Low Voltage Programming option, have you disabled it?
What PIC are you using?
What value of capacitors are you using?
What frequency of crystal are you using?
Maybe post pictures of the area of your circuit board top and bottom, near to your crystal.
