Hi,

*This is related to control theory /control loop design.*

Does anybody know of a resource where I can learn to design controllers with 2 crossover frequencies? Most of the textbooks i have read have design process for a single crossover frequencies. I am having some difficulty getting adequate phase margin and gain margin.

thanks.

not sure if this answers your question but, it is a voltage control loop for output voltage regulation of a power electronics converter. I am trying to determine a compensator that will give me suitable gain and phase margin. the loop is not yet "closed", so the equation is in the form Y = C*P*H (compensator, plant, feedback gain)

Here's a good reference that should help you design a stable feedback loop for a power converter.

Edit: I used the design info in that reference to successfully design a 5V, 1A buck converter.
I would highly recommend that you simulate your control loop before you build it.
