Constant Voltage Using LM308

What do you exactly mean by power the probe? This is just an exercise but i would like the exercise to work. Both the LM308 and LM317 op-amps aren't working as i intended them to (or at all) with this circuit.
Do you mean the LM308 does not give you the results you calcuated in your most recent schematic, or that it can't drive 1V into 10 ohms?
And what is this about LM317 (which you called an op amp)?

Whoops my mistake. Not LM317...LM358.

The LM308 is giving me voltage across the op-amp inputs, which should not be right.
I can't find output current specs for LM308, but the schematic tells me it's only about 7 or 8 mA.
Keep in mind that LM308 is obsolete. There are better op amps out there.
