What component is represented by FB--(i.e FB9001) in a circuit boardof a monitor?

 

Perhaps you could give a detailed or more info on that component for us to identify it.
A picture or some other clue?

 

it resembles a diodie but with no mark, i thought FB represent a component one could easily tell because in the same CB a component c6005 is a capacitor whilest R 4006 is e resitstor. help

 

it is a fuse or a link. nothing more. It should show a short circuit.

Nope dude. ferrite beads are bit loose and has through wires.
Just links or Fuse, I am sure of it.

A ferrite bead sounds right to me.

 

I vote for ferrite bead, not withstanding the vehement response to the contrary. Maybe you could post a picture.

 

Here is a excerpt from a data sheet that would appear to support the ferrite bead proponents.
