hi, in my project i'm using an analog sensor and i get random readings for small change in in the quantity. I was told that a comparator has to be used. But i don't know how to use it and what to use. Can some1 please help me with this ??

Hi!

We could be of much greater help if you tell us what sensor and how it is connected. Include anything you think we should see: part numbers, schematic, picture or sketch of the build, stuff like that.

A comparator will just change a continuous analog signal to a digital YES/NO signal.

Is this related to microcontrollers. Many modern micros do actually have analog comparators on board. Or did your question end up here by mistake.
