Dear all,

If I got a common battery source that supply the required power to a few sub-system, such as the main system consist of 2 sub system such as 2 different kind of lasers:

- will this configuration damaged either laser if one laser is drawing a higher current of 0.55A as compared with the other which is drawing 0.21A?

- will the surge current upon startup on one laser affect the other, such as a sudden surge of 1.1A for the higher current drawing laser damage the other which will only have a current surge of 0.5A?

Thanks and best regards

It depends upon the type of battery you're considering using, and how well the power supplies for the lasers can handle the transients.

Lead-acid batteries have a pretty low internal resistance when they're charged, so that type shouldn't be a problem.
