Today I reverse engineered a RC transmitter. To duplicate the RF unit I need a coil form with a ferrite/iron slug. wire for the coils is no worry, however the forms seem elusive, any help is appreciated.

There are a lot of coil forms.
A picture would help.

Profile has been modified, picture attached. It is just one of those slug tuned, square base plastic coil forms we find in battery operated toys and RF links.

 

You would have better luck with a schematic, it would tell you the inductance.

 

I have the schematic. I know the number of turns, the spool diameter, the wire size. I need blank spools to duplicate the sucker.

You can probably buy that inductor ready wound off the shelf. I'll bet they did.

 

They probably wound them at break time from fireworks assembly, LOL.

Email with Cosmo/sample requests have me at a dead end. The respondent stated that there was no stock available, then later told me that she had no record of my sample request. I believe she is a bit daft...perhaps blond.

 

Well, I haven't used them in awhile - maybe they have new personnel. They used to be very quick and professional.

 

Amazing, Cosmo has no distributors, sounds like my last place, Richardson Electronics, "Engineered Solutions"...
