I need to make one LED glow after each clock pulses. If i give 11 pulses 11 LED's should glow. Please see the figure. I tried doing this with cd4017 decade counter but only one LED glows at a time. Please help me out.

 

Here's a start for you:

I'm not going to draw the whole thing out; it's basically more of the same.

Keep the current limiting resistors high enough so the 4050's don't have to source much current, or you'll just get a single LED lit at one time.

Try using a shift register such as the CD4015. You'll need 2 of these.
