Can someone give me some guidance on how to calculate the values of my components/devices (working backwards). Please dont ignore this, share with me if you know it as I am in need now. Thanks

You apparently want to measure current and voltage, using ADCs and an 8051 uC, and display the results.

What course or class are you taking that requires this project?

 

Thanks for your response. This is my final year project, in E/E engineering.
As Block diag. shows I need Current & Voltage, μcontrol them and shows Power dissipated. But I have to work out the values b4 attempting to build the circuit.If I work with 50V (after stepping V down), how will I have 0-5V at ADC? (without further attenuation?)

I have no idea how to work out the values, on top side of Block diag. (which represents current). Your contribution is much appreciated sgt wookie and the rest.
