Hi

I have a chip on a laptop motherboard that i want to replace but I can not identify it , the number starts with what I pressume is the chip manufactures logo , it is a sort of letter M styled in a type of logo , the other numbers are as follows : 5236 -3.3BM 0224 .
Has anyone got any idea !! .

It's a Micrel 3.3v low-dropout regulator.

That part is obsolete because it contained lead.

I have found that it is a Transistor (very tiny) that is causing the Micrel chip to over heat , the only markings that are on it are S60 .
I have tried googeling it but no luck ! .

S60 doesn't cross-reference to anything.

Double-check the markings.

Thanks for your time in replying to my thread , I think I will have to try and get hold of a old dell motherboard and see if I can rescue one from there , thanks again .
