I have got an old SMPS of model DSP-1454NN-CE, and need to check it. Generally I short the green and black wire of the 24 pin connector.
But this model neither has a 24 pin connector nor a green wire. How do I check it ?
Any help will be appreciated, Thanks in advance!!

Older PC PSUs didn't have an auto power down control wire. They often have a power switch on the back, where the user could switch the PC on.

You can usually run them ok if you connect a dummy load to the 5v rail. You need to draw a few amps, so you need a large wattage resistor.

A 1 ohm resistor will draw 5 amps, which should generally be enough to get the PSU running. That will dissipate 5W, so you need a resistor capable of SAFELY dissipating 5W, so you can use three 5W 3.3ohm resistors in parallel, to make a 1.1 ohm 15W resistor.
