I need to create a chasing LED circuit which is activated/signaled, by a smaller LED circuit (LED, power, ground @ ~3.0volts).

I am hoping to have at least 10 Blue LED's 5000cmd, 3.2 lead voltage, 20mA (not sure if that is needed).

and can either be running on 5,7,12volts.

Can you post a circuit you have in mind?

What does "LED, power, ground @ ~3.0volts" mean?

 

Well it needs to use the HDD activity LED as a trigger, so it is the HDD LED circuit I was referring to.
