    HI,
    I have a lithium ion rechargeable battery with capacity 4.2Ah, (11.1 V, 48Wh).
    1) Please explain the charging procedure of the battery in terms of current and voltage?
    2) What does battery life degradation mean in terms of the battery specification?

Lithium batteries degrade their life for each charge and each time they are discharged to a low voltage near their minimum allowed voltage.

I used Generation 3 Li-Po cells (similar to Li-Ion) for my RC electric airplanes and they were nearly useless after only about 20 flights. But my newer Generation 4 cells are much better (and cost less) and last for hundreds of flights.
