Hello everyone,got another question.
Do SCRs work for low voltages in the range of 2-20 V???

Actually once i get to charge up all my capacitors to the required voltages, i need to connect them one at a time to another capacitor C_L.

To put it more clearly, say from t=o to t=t1, C1 should be connected to C_L.
From t=t1 to t=2*t1, C2 should be connected to C_L, and so on.

If i use SCR s as switches(one for each of the 10 capacitors) and connect the other end of the SCRs to C_L, i can turn each one on and off in a sequence.

The problem is will the SCR work for such low voltages???

The conducting V of a 2N5061 is about 1/2 to 3/4 V @ dropout I of 5mA. Trigger of less than 1V. Might consider small reed relays. Are you still limited to 2 V for all control ckts?

Actually I'll use a boost converter to boost up the voltage to around 20-22 V.
I can use this voltage for switching purpose (cant I???)
