cell-phone detector ?

Hi & i was wondering , would it be possible to make a device that have four LEDs like this

[..............]
.......O.......
....O....O....
.......O.......
[..............]

now the device detects the [turned on] cell phone and emmits the LED that corrospondes to the direction of detection .

i'm still new
sorry for my bad english skills .

Hello,

@ radiohead.
The kit shown works upto 1000 Mhz.
GSM phones can work on 850, 900, 1800 or 1900 Mhz.
Some even have Bluetooth active, wich works round 2400 Mhz.
The kit might not catch all gsm's in the room.

You may find that making a device operating at 2.4 GHz is very challenging for a first-time project. Even 400 MHz layouts are hard to get right.
