Cell companies are so funny

So I did a little research on wimax/4G a couple years back for a company. Turns out its owned by clearwire and Sprint. They spent millions on creating a 4G network. Now after they build it and go into debt billions, every other carrier is claiming they are 4G. I've seen Sprint, Tmo, and now Verizon all claim to have the fastest 4G network. Which is funny since they are all 3G except for Sprint. There reasoning for calling their stuff 4G is that their speeds are comparable with sprints 4G so they should be able to call their 3G network 4G for marketing purposes. These guys crack me up. What funny is the closest to Sprint is TMO and their 3.75G, which is what people call it. Its a propriatary bandwidth they use that makes it much faster then normal 3G. But Verizon cliaming to be 4G is just plain funny unless they are partnering with sprint.
