Does the CE and FC(C) marking look something like this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_mark or this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Communications_Commission (scrol down some to see) :p

That's it. :) Thanks.

Well it looks like it is a no brand serial port. :) I think I got it for nest to nothing anyway.

But I just found out my system board has a serial port and a parallel port to boot. I should check documentation more carefully. :) It did not come with a DB connector.

Good thing I do not throw anything out. I had a couple of connectors from and old system. I connected them up, now I have a serial and parallel port.

I have an old HP LJ, parallel only. I had one of those parallel USB cables. I was worried about that working on Windows 7 two. I have the LJ up and running on Win 7 too. :)

Post a picture of it. Perhaps someone can tell whic brand it is. I think it is morre seldom to find a marked Rs232/USb converter than a marked one.

Actually I found the disk. It is a Cables To Go. But I visited their website and I could not find any cables that resemble mine. They do have a USB to serial (RS232) cable but it looks nothing like mine and I did not pay anything near what they are charging. I am guessing I have a Chinese "knockoff". But it is working on Windows 7. :)
