Can you please have a look at Q3 part (i) in the attached file, as i am not sure if my answer is correct: V=IZ=I(Xc+XL)

Any help is appreciated.

The question (Q 3 i ) reads
Write expressions relating current and voltage for a capacitor and an inductor.
So going by that it should be
I*Xc=V and I*Xl =V.
you can also replace Xl = 2pi* frequency*L
and Xc= 1/(2pi*Frequency*c)

If you really want to use the given ckt dia. then you can always find the current using I = V/Z

hope this helps.

That would be an expression relating current through and voltage across capacitor and inductor in series combination not expressions relating current and voltage for a capacitor and an inductor.
