Just like to know how to find out the value of capacitance I need for a capacitor start 5hp 230v motor.
I tried e-mailing the manufacturer, but no response.

i think it wuld have to be really big.
it should have to have 230v and mabey a 1J cap or more.

look for other email addresses for the manufacture or call them. call is usually the best thing to contact them.

 

Is it a two winding squirrel cage induction motor?
