Hi everyone,

I am working on a small project that involves RF transmission, I have choose the following chip for my project ( http://uk.farnell.com/microchip/mrf89xam9a-i-rm/module-rf-trx-915mhz/dp/1823144 ) see data sheet.

My question is am I allowed to use 870 MHz band in the UK for amateur projects? I looked in the ofcom website and couple of other websites and it seem the 433 MHz is the only allowed amateur freq in the UK.

Looking at this website it seems that 870 is allowed in Europe (http://www.bb-europe.com/tech_articles/WP35_868MHz_Radio_Modems.asp) does that mean its allowed in the UK too?

can someone shed some light on this issue please?

Cheers.
