I want to make a project where I want a voltage controlled oscillator. The price of cvco55be is to much for my project, So I am looking for a replacement of it. Can I use LMX2604 Triple-band VCO instead of cvco55be VCO? Here is the datasheet,s. Cvco55be And LMX2604. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Depends whether you need a continuous range of the Cvco55be or only the given bands of the LMX2604.
Looking for more data, the LMX2604 is obsolete.

The LMX2604 can only generate frequencies in the following bands on separate outputs:
On-chip Triple-band RF VCOs
GSM: 880 MHz to 915 MHz
DCS: 1710 MHz to 1785 MHz
PCS: 1850 MHz to 1910 MHz

The Cvco55be can do a continuous range of 800 to 1600 MHz.

What is the actual range you need?
Have a look at minicircuits for the oscillators:

Hello,

As said, the LMX2604 is obsolete and will not be available soon.
Have a look at the minicircuits site I mentioned in my previous post.
