Can I do this with a voltage regulator?

Linear regulators don't have fast enough reaction time for spikes and noise found in automobiles.

If you look at any car audio equipment, from head unit to active crossover to amp, you'll find half the board space is used simply for clean power, often with a switch mode supplyl.

The regulators you've shown above aren't even automotive rated, and would need a heatsink if you were to pull 1.5A through them, since they are linear and drop a voltage across them, dissipating power.

They are fine for a home built supply, but even for that, I'd suggest using "Simple Switchers" for the power supply simply for the efficiency/lack of thermal load, in addition to giving a stable output when the input is above or below the output voltage.

What would be the best solution to my problem?
Can I take out certain parts of electronic part and integrate it for my use e.g. Power supply bit from an in car audio amplifier?

A simple switcher was mentioned, Would that do the job?
