I am developing a solar charge controller and i need to constantly monitor the battery level even while charging.
I can monitor the battery level by measuring its voltage, but is it possible to do so while charging? If not what is the alternative to monitor the battery level?
It's not an expensive project so i need an cheap and affordable idea.

 

Measure the charging current. That is what is used to determine if the battery has been sufficiently charged.
