hi im in need of abit of help.im in the middle of make a led panel and iv got some leds and resistors and when the resistors have come they dont say anything about them,could anyone tell me anything about them.they have 3 coulor banbs on themnot sure which end they start from but they have yellow then violet then brown,or could be the other way,im using 60 blue leds 3.2v..20ma 12v power souce.and 180 red 2v...20ma with 12v souce.does anyone know how i could get round this with the leds and resistors i have??any help is greatfully received.thanks in advance.

Please explain what you wish to do with this LED panel, and what your actual power supply is.

Is it a regulated 12v supply, or is it an automotive application?

Are you wanting individual control of the LEDs, or will they all turn on together?

Sounds like 470 ohms. Try here for LED array calculator:
http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz
If it doesn't calculate 470 ohm resistors then they are very cheap, or you have the possibility of putting some resistors in parallel to reduce the resistance. Search for parallel resistor calculator.
