Calculations.....the dark art.

I can understand that. But oddly if I try that on my calculator it throws up the wrong answer!?! In this case;

1/(2*∏) = 0.16

0.16*53E03*100E-9 = 0.000848

Do I need to change any of the input to make this short hand method work?

I also got the PC calculator to work now. In this case it requires the 53K to be written as 53E+03. So it looks like I'm good to go. Thanks again guys you really have know idea what it means to me to be able to actually do this.

You took 53E03*100E-9 to the numerator. It was supposed to be in the denominator. You should divide the numerator with 53E03*100E-9, not multiply it. Or you can multiply it with the denominator term. :)
