Can you please look at these products: http://www.isiconnectors.com/mfrs/trompeter/catalog/trctrn.jpg Particularly the second down on the left comumn. I want to use these to adapt a miniature traix cable to a thicker .5" cable on the last few feet of the run. It should maintain the same impedance throughout the connection. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Does anyone know what kind of reflections I can expect by doing this?

Thanks!

I'm not really good at this frequency band but I know that every connector has a db loss rating. The loss is always higher than an unbroken cable. What this means about reflections is beyond my knowledge. I think the best you can do to minimize the losses is get the termination impedance correct.
