I have an MC60 treadmill controller running a 90V PMDC motor for my drill press. As a safety feature, you must reset the speed dial (5K ohms pot) to zero every time the unit is powered on and there is about a 4 second delay in start-up. Trolley1 posted a hand-drawn schematic of the MC60 but with my limited electronics knowledge I cannot seem to figure out how to disable the delay.

The MC60 appears to be a common controller sold on ebay and I found many other message boards of machinery conversion to DC motors using this controller so I assume others have already figured this out.

Here's a quick youtube video of the controller installed on the drill press.

As that is a safety feature, we will not give advice on defeating it.
