Is the spacing on a Yagi elements 2.4 g exactly 2.4 mill,or cent. or what.
How exact does this need to be?? thanks

 

Hi,

Speed of light is generally figured at 96% of the free space value for antenna calculations. Yagi elements are spaced 1/4 wavlength apart. The director is about 5% shorter than the driven element, and the reflector is about 5% longer. The closer the elements and spacings, the better antenna performance.

 

but the narrower the bandwidth.
