Hi guys

I need a power supply design has 3.3V 30A input and 2v 40A output(may adjusting the output voltage by pwm). I am thinking of build design with pic microcontrols by triggering a mosfet. I have never made such a design before so i am newbie.
So, How can i realize such a circuit?
Can you give me such a design examples? or any ideas about the driving part and mosfet?

Best regards

Since SMPS are usually quite complicated i recommend you buy a IC that does most of the work for you for example

This is a configurable 5V/3.3V switchmode regulator. This one however does not handle currents over 2A. There are also good books on the subject if you want to design one from scratch. But overall designing SMPS's from scratch is alot of work.

input power will be nearly 80-100W. 2A output is too low for us. We need more than 40A output. And input voltage does not need to be 3.3V. It may be higher. We may do it by dc-dc step down convertor or with pwm control of mosfet.
