these buck converter questions are throwing me for a loop for some reason

all of this is straight from the text book

IL=Vo/R=.5

then it states IL=Io

so the output current is 0.5A which doesnt really help at all

is this just a case where I need to use simple ohms law? in a RLC circuit?

Arguing purely on energy considerations the average load power = 0.75W

The average source power must be the same.

Average source current=0.75W/6V=.125A
