Just means general attire... clothing and such.
The statement is just telling the staff to wear smart and casual...

 

My first thought of "clobber" is a verb: to hit with great force. The bus clobbered the jaywalker.

 

The bus clobbered the man because he was wearing funny clobber!!!

Both right!!!!
