Hello All,
i will be very grateful if anyone managed to help me with this.

i'm suppposed to design a boost DC-DC converter with the follwing specifications :

*Vo = 18v
1- The inductor current must be continuous under all operating conditions.
2- The peak-to-peak output voltage ripple must be less than 5%.
3- Design for a supply voltage that can change between 9V and 15V.
4- Design for a load current that can be in the range of 0.1A and 2A.
5- The regulator must keep its output regulated against load and supply disturbances i.e.
closed loop control is required.

i calculated suitable values for L & C and now i' have to use the IC TL494 to control the output of the converter in a voltage mode control .

f=10khz

can someone help me with the TL494 design ?

here is a schematic of what i reached so far

I suspect that you are already aware that the TL494 contains many of the building blocks for the boost converter. It contains the control and switching logic needed the design of the boost converter. You will need to select the switching power transistor, the diode, and the inductor that conforms to the overall performance you outlined in your initial post.

okay thanks hgmjr .. but i already have this note but still there is something missing or incomplete or may be i dont understand .

did anyone work with TL494 in Orcad Pspice ?
