basically when it says derive, I need to prove that equation using the basic axioms. Figure 2.2 just contains the basic axioms that I assume everyone here already knows.

I have tried many different approaches, most using DeMorgan's law, but all my attempts over the course of the week have ended in naught.

Please help!

 

Okay, try DeMorgan's law on the second parenthesis of the right hand expression and then use the distributive property on the whole right hand expression to simplify it.
