What is the application of the bjt in inversion mode, that is emitter base reverse biased and base collector forward biased.

i believe that's called "reverse active" and is basically the same as forward active, though you wont get the same performance due to the asymmetric doping profile.

 

so, is there a specific application with the bjt in this reason like in active region you have amplification and between cutoff and saturation as switch
