Hello guys,

I really need a reliable source from where I can learn how SMPS work in detail (all the formulas, derivations and equations), and how I could build one. I have only studied electronics for a year now so something well explained would be nice. It's not taught in any institutions around where I live.
Any help would be great.

Search for application notes from companies that make switching controllers/regulators. I found a couple good ones from TI when I was trying to figure out a supply for my project, but in the end I gave up and let TI's software design it for me.
