That's where I and a lot of people stand regarding many of the 'environmentalist green movement' and 'Energy efficiency/independance' projects goals and overall actions.Unfortunately for us (I will speak more to BC Hydro as it is what I know, but I understand that Ontario is even worse) BC hydro is a public entity and is a very bad deal...
All of its projects are notorious for poor management and cost over-runs. In general, if they try to sell us something, further scrutiny is required.
Too much of it has proven itself to be either very poorly/unrealistically thought out, poorly managed, outrightly and purposefully misrepresented from the start or when it was implemented in the end it had either less than admirable end results for what it was claimed to represent, it did nothing of value or actually made things worse than had they done nothing at all and put the time and money they wasted into something else.
