Hi, I'd like to get some hobyist-grade supplies and components, I know of websites like sparkfun, are there any better ones out there? I'd like to get a solderless breadboard, a power supply kit, general logic ICs, etc.

thanks!

Hello,

The way to get your supplies strongly depends on where you live.
There are places you can hardly get any parts and there are places you only have to walk 10 minutes to get some parts, like me.

If you want to order online, I would go for the larger companies like Farnell/newark, mouser, digikey, conrad or riechelt.
(the last two are well known in europe).

+1 for the advice bertus gave depends where you live.....

In the UK I've found these two suppliers good, mostly because the postage is reasonable.

Spirotronix

Bitsbox

If you need more than just a few components (£20+) then try Farnell or Rapid.
