Bench test leaf blower ignition module

Is there an easy Red Neck way to bench test an ignition module out of a leaf blower?

I have some old ones laying around, and would like to find a good one, without re-assembling the blower to test each one.

I read a Google search result that said something about running a magnet over it, but it wasn't very clear as to where to run the magnet, nor how big the magnet should be, etc.

Thanks,
Gary

Daryl,
The last two pictures you posted look interesting.

Can you explain how I can make one of those?
What am I not seeing under the electrical tape?
How is it all hooked up?

Or better yet,
do you make them for sale?

Thanks,
Gary

Sorry i dont make them for sale. The atachment to drive a CDI unit was made from an old audio driver transformer out of a very old transistor car radio. pictures show the dis assembled TF & its reshaping to fit the CDI unit. All your doing is inducing voltage pulses into the unit to fire it.
