Hi Chaps

I have been given an LM3876 amplifier chip to play with for a possible voice mod. Reading the data sheet I m not sure if it will run of of a 12VDC supply and single rail at that. If it does work I know it's output will be severely reduced but what can I expect in terms of output?

Hi Fenris,
It won't. The datasheet specifies a minimum supply voltage of 18v. So, it wont run off 12v. Anyway, at 18v you wont get anywhere near the 56W the chip can supply.

Ah well. I will just have to build a PSU and use it as a stereo Amp then
