Where can I find a suitable dc motor at least 500 watts to run off of a 36 v battery supply.
I have a 180 v 7.5 A dc motor from a walking machine but unless I connect at least three of the 36v batteries in series it runs too slowly.
Will I have a problem with connecting lithium batt in series

1) 36 Volt is an unusual voltage for DC Motors. The only common application I know of, is they are fitted to some golf carts.

2) 3x36V = 108V still a long way off 180V 5x36V = 180V sounds more like what you should be using.

3) There should be no reason why you cannot connect LiIon batteries in series.
