Hi,
Kindly guide me for the following question:
Let suppose a bus has a 16 data lines and requires 4 cycles of 250 nsec each to transfer data. The bandwidth of this bus would be 2 Megabytes/sec. If the cycle time of the bus was reduced to 125 nsecs and the number of cycles required for the transfer stayed the same what would be the bandwidth of the bus?
I think its 4 megabytes/sec .
plz guide me.

Statement given:
Bus Speed - 1 Mhz effective (4 clock cycles per transfer)
Bits per transfer - 16 Mbit/S
8 bits per byte
16/8 = 2 Mbyte/S Data Transfer rate.

Question given:
Bus Speed is now - ??
Bits per transfer - 16 x <bus speed or frequency / 4)
8 bits per byte
<bits per second>/8 = ?? bytes/Second Data Transfer Rate
