seems the aux voltage rating may point to expandability. I.E. if AUX voltage is 12V, then you could connect a 12V battery up to the UPS for extended duration outages.
UPS can range from a few hundred watt to a few hundred kW or more. Depending on what document/UPS you are referring to, the term "auxiliary voltage" can have different meanings.
It could be an internal auxiliary voltage for control purposes or the bypass voltage or something else.
