In UPS power supply industry, most of them mention the Auxiliary Voltage.
What exactly purpose of Aux. Voltage in power supply? what does it do?

seems the aux voltage rating may point to expandability. I.E. if AUX voltage is 12V, then you could connect a 12V battery up to the UPS for extended duration outages.

UPS can range from a few hundred watt to a few hundred kW or more. Depending on what document/UPS you are referring to, the term "auxiliary voltage" can have different meanings.
It could be an internal auxiliary voltage for control purposes or the bypass voltage or something else.
