Hi Everybody

I am working on an automotive turn signal flasher circuit.

Usually, the original flasher unit installed in a vehicle is IC-based which detects lamp outage i.e. when any of the 3 indicator lamps fail, the flashing frequency is doubled.

I am thinking of using a 555 flasher system or a 2-transistor flasher system and using some comparator IC to detect lamp outage.

I came across the attached schematic while googling, maybe this can be of some help.

I shall appreciate your assistance.
