Modifications are banned, ok got it. But what if I wanted to design something that is on a car or bike. Eg make it myself, instead of buying it?

Just so you know it. You will find plenty of other good electronics site on the web. Many of them are quite good. Your posting as I remember was well written. So just copy and past your question to a site that do allow auto modifications. I can be of help if you want some links to such sites
